2010 WOMENS BASEBALL WORLD CUP
Following the 2010 National Championships in April, the Australian Womens Baseball Team has been chosen and are on there way to Venezuela to compete at the World Cup. 3 West Australian Stars were chosen to represent the Green & Gold.

The girls have been training hard over the past few months and are hoping to return from the World Cup with another GOLD medal.

WA WOMEN WIN GOLD!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS to the 2010 WA Womens State Team on winning GOLD!!! The team put in an amazing effort and finished with 8 wins & 0 losses. With a nail biting win over NSW in the Grand Final, the HEAT managed to win there way into the History Books, being the 1st WA team to ever win the National title. Standout performances from starting Pitcher JACINDA BARCLAY, and short stop NATALIE RAWLINGS kept the HEAT in the game. The hero of the day was right fielder, MORGAN DOTY, who hit the walk of double to win the game. Dubbed "Rookie of the Year" by her team mates, Morgan made a massive impact to the game with 4 at bats, 1 hit, 2 RBI's, and 4 put outs. The HEAT had to come back from a 6-3 deficit in the bottom of the 7th but with determination and patience in the box, they managed to claw their way to National Victory. A big thank you to all the supporters who travelled, and of course scorer Caroline Adamson & umpire Terry Ford. Once again CONGRATULATIONS HEAT!!!
FOLLOW THE WOMENS STATE HEAT AS THEY GO FOR GOLD!!!!!!! The 2010 State Women HEAT are on there way to winning the GOLD medal. . With 6 wins & 0 losses they have made history being the 1st WA team to EVER beat Victoria (Blue) and the first WA team to ever go 6 and 0 at the end of the scheduled games. With an outstanding lineup including batting superstars Natalie Rawlings (avg .667), Erin Fox (avg .471) and dominating pitcher Jacinda Barclay (era 0.82) the HEAT look to be unstoppable. Rookie Morgan Doty has made her HEAT debut a memorable one with an batting average of .308 and fielding 1000%. The WA Women have now secured 1st place and now look towards the finals. They play Country NSW on Friday 9th April at 12.00pm with the winner going straight to the Grand Final. If WA win (sorry WHEN they win) they will play the winner out of 2v3, Victoria or NSW.
